We are an amazing class of Year 3 students at Paihia School in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. We have two teachers - Mrs Williams and Miss Hadwin. We love learning and sharing our work : )
We had ten straws, a paper clip and a marble. The challenge was to make a tower that would hold the marble. It was really tricky, but we all worked together!
Kia ora Nga Motu - it is so awesome to see you all learning this way. What a fun and innovative environment! I can see that this has been a very busy term for you all. I can't wait to see what the teachers have planned for the rest of the year. Keep up the awesome mahi!!
Kia ora Nga Motu. What a great idea to make a tower with just straws and paper clip. I like the way you all had to work together. Was it easy to do? I wonder who made the tallest tower?
Hi Nga Motu It look so fun. For Me and my group it was hard for us because we thought that we had to make a tower that would make the marble go down the starw. Was it hard for you's?
Kia Ora, Nga Motu My name is Whetu and I am a student in Room 4 at Tautoro School. I am 8 years old. I really like your marble challenge I liked your work because it made me wonder how you could stand the sticks up. Some advice for you- maybe you could make the pictures bigger. I loved your comment about having great success.
Wow what a challenge! I bet it was fun trying to figure it out. Keep up the good work. Karin (Brisa's mum!)
